TOGETHER WE CAN
The year 2023 began with the election of the new president. Mr. Ajay Sharma from Karan Markings Systems Pvt Ltd was elected as the new president of the AIDC Technologies Association of India. Mr. Ajay Sharma welcomed the newly constituted executive committee. All the members were enthusiastic, as Mr Sharma reiterated “TOGETHER WE CAN”. We had the new youth leaders volunteering to be part of the executive committee and taking responsibility for the association.
A road map for the Executive Committee was shared by Mr Sharma for the next 2 years for the good working of the association. He delegated responsibilities to all the members for the smooth functioning of the association. Mr. Ajay Sharma decided that from the next financial year a membership card and membership certificates would be given to all the members of the association.
Under the able leadership of Mr. Ajay Sharma, the first North Regional Meet was held in New Delhi at Hotel Crowne Plaza on Friday, February 23, 2023, in the evening. The president welcomed the gathering. It was followed by a keynote presentation on RFID and SAAS. The sponsors of the event gave presentations on the details of their products. Finally, the Vice President – North, Mr. Madhusudhan Chaudhary, thanked the gathering. The meeting was followed by cocktails and dinner where members networked among themselves.
The second major event of the year 2023 was the West Zone Meet which was held on 20th May 2023 at Kohinoor Continental Hotel, Andheri East, Mumbai. It was attended by 64 companies from the western region and 124 members from these companies made it a grand event witnessed to date. There was an exchange of information on SaaS and RFID which gave an insight into where these technologies could be deployed. The sponsors of the event gave detailed information about their products.
Then, Ms Geera Vyas from the Ethics Vertical handed over our first AIDC membership card and AIDC certificate to our President – Mr Ajay Sharma. Lastly, Mr. Manjit Gandhi – Vice President (West) gave a vote of thanks to all the members present and thanked them for making the event a memorable one. The vote of thanks was followed by dinner and cocktails during which the members had fruitful discussions and exchange of ideas among themselves.
The next event was a 3-day Full-Time Training Course for employees of AIDC Companies, by the “Institute of AIDC Technology & Science” (IATS) This training course was exclusively designed for beginners/employees of AIDC companies. It was a valuable learning opportunity, which was organized at the Indian Social Institute, Lodi Road, New Delhi in July 2023.
The training course aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills in various aspects of AIDC technologies (Barcode, RFID, Biomatrix, IoT, Software, Labels, Ribbons, etc.), through expert-led sessions & hands-on practice. The participants gained insights into industry trends, best practices and case studies.
The fourth feather in the cap was the South Zone Meet. The meeting of the companies in southern India was held at The Hotel Taj, MG Road, Bengaluru on 12th August 2023. It was attended by 64 companies and 111 members from these companies made it a grand event witnessed to date in the southern region. Mr. Sharma welcomed all the attendees who made it to the meeting. The sponsors gave their presentations on the products they dealt with and also spoke in detail about the functioning of these products. After the conclusion of all the presentations from our sponsors, Mr. Karan Reddy – Vice President (South) gave a vote of thanks to all the members present. The vote of thanks was followed by dinner and cocktails where the members interacted among themselves in an intelligent flow of information and possible collaborations with each other.
The fifth event of the year was the press operator’s skills upgrading course organised, by the AIDC Technologies Association of India and sponsored by RK Label Printing Machinery Pvt Ltd from 7th to 9th September 2023. Thirteen companies participated in the training and 22 operators were given training in operating the printing machines. They were trained via live demonstrations and hands-on practice of the key items, materials and machinery used in the labeling industry. The training imparted lots of learning to the participants and they appreciated the efforts put in by the training partner and the association.
The next and last event of the year was the East Zone Meet. The meeting was held in Kolkata at Hotel Hindusthan International on 25th November 2023. It was attended by 58 companies and 83 members from these companies. The President of the association – Mr. Ajay Sharma from Karan Marking Systems Pvt Ltd extended his heartfelt welcome and expressed his sincere gratitude to one and all members for their august presence. The sponsors shared their knowledge of the key products they dealt with and how they worked. After the conclusion of all the presentations from our sponsors, Mr. Koustubh Mukherjee – Vice President (East) gave a vote of thanks to all the members present followed by a mutual exchange of information among the attendees during dinner and cocktails.
This event marked the end of the events for the year 2023. Mr. Sharma and the executive committee members have involved themselves in all these activities. All of them have given tremendous support to the president in fulfilling all his responsibilities. A big thank you to all the executive committee members, including the executive manager, who has provided all the necessary back-office support to the president.
